Okay, you OBVIOUSLY aren't familiar with ...Trite??? Okay, you OBVIOUSLY aren't familiar with how amazing I think YOU are.

Thank you for sharing. I so get you. When I phoned my mother from the hospital to tell her I'd given birth, she asked if I was adopting out the babe. I told her no. Her words to me were, "Diane, you've never accomplished anything in life. What makes you think you can do this?"

My sister was here with me when I got your response. We've decided to start using your motto. It's true! When we look around, all of the amazing people in our lives come from crappy parents!

You are awesome, Krista. I'm so glad we found each others blogs. It's nice to know I'm not alone out here.♥ Dee ♥https://www.blogger.com/profile/01560097589196622838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4977747340168431515.post-45326445414444592312008-11-25T19:18:00.000-08:002008-11-25T19:18:00.000-08:00Ok, I hope this doesn't sound trite...I really adm...Ok, I hope this doesn't sound trite...

I really admire you Dee... As I've been getting to "know" you through your blog, I find you more and more fascinating, and such an inspiration. This latest piece of the puzzle that you have shared, only makes me admire your strength all the more. My mom ran away with me when I was an infant, hiding from my abusive drunk father. Years later, I sought him out, only to discover, she was right... he was a loser... On the day my first born daughter was born, I called him to give him the happy news, he was a grandfather... his response: "I'm busy now, can I call you later?"... still waiting for the call.

Your story, reminded me of a motto I decided to claim years ago: "Sometimes amazing people come from crappy parents" Ok, it's not a widely used motto... truth be told I kind of made it up... but, I think it fits for you too!

Anyways, hope that wasn't "Trite"... If it was, I'm sorry... Thank you for sharingPheonixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01404440795645945852noreply@blogger.com
