Why am I sharing this? Because if you can't laugh at yourself, you got problems! And honey, I am laaaaaughing at myself this morning!!!
My hair has been really dry, and usually I mayonaisse it (thanks mom!), but I don't want full fat mayo in the house, so I decided the other day to olive oil it. Same principle. I olive oiled my pony before going out for a run, and it made a HUGE difference in my hair! So today I decided to throw it up in pigtails and olive oil it. Only thing is, my hair is long enough that it touches my shoulders now. I don't want oiled shoulders, so I clipped it up. Then procceeded to laugh my ASS off at myself.
And I'm secure enough to share the joke. Here it is, makeupless and oily haired in all it's glory:
Oh, if Steve could see me now... ROFLMAO!!

LOLZ hawt... does that really work?
Well, along the same premise of the mayo, so I think it will. I only had it in for about an hour and it made a huge difference. I don't put it on the roots, just the pony. I'll let you know.
BEAUTIMOUS!!! This is a fab idea - my hair is so dry on the ends too. I wish I could do this but....my skin is so sensitive to oil I am certain I would have a major break out :( so, I deal with dry hair to avoid the zitty face!
I've also heard yogurt on the hair is moisturizing?? Maybe?? I think??
Full fat yogurt, maybe... mmm... I dunno about that.
What about doing what I do? Just the ends? The oil isn't even touching my skin at all. Throw it up in your pony, oil the ends and clamp it in a ball.
Actually that's funny because i just finished sleeping with oil on my head :) I have psorisis and i find it help to get rid of the scale! TMI i know :)
ROFLMAO... omigod... you're hilarious!
Charmed: if you can't use oil, I swear by Sebastian Potion 9. I know, it's pricey... BUT... it works. It's a leave in, it's NOT greasy, and it also acts as a slight styling aid. PLUS, you only need a small amount, every 2 or 3 washes. Sure, a tube of it might run you more than a jar of mayo or a bottle of olive oil, BUT it'll last longer! It smells good too! :) I first got hooked on it when I was a stylist at Raymonds years back, and I swear by the stuff! Works on all kinds of hair, and now there's a Potion 9 lite or something like that... for fine hair...

Gorgeous, babe. lol :o )
Ahh, I have very dry, damaged hair!
Mayonnaise has all the chemical components of your hair needs. I am not about to argue this point it's cheap and effective. And I can see why you don't want to have full fat in your house. So what you need to do is to make it. You need an egg, oil a bowl and a whisk. Break the a egg into the bowl and start whisking it. very slowly drop by drop add the oil as you Whisk the egg. stop when it is consistency of mayonnaise and put it in your hair...lol
ROFL!!!
I bet you'd feel ten times better if I showed you what I look like on a deep conditioning day LOL
