Sigh

Life with a teenager... what to do....

So Steve tells me that he came home to find the back door closed, and assumed Logan wasn't home yet. But then he sees Logan's shoes. Goes and knocks on his door, and Logan is home. Steve goes out for a smoke, and Logan comes out and tells him that he was so tired when he got home that he went for a nap... and oh by the way, the girlfriend is at the front door wondering if she can borrow a bike to get home fast.

Like we're stupid? What a fucking idiot.

So what to do? How to deal with it? Is grounding effective? We cannot govern the home when we are at work. He blatantly disrespected the noone in the house when noone is home rule.

Gah. I hate boys.

Hmmm. Not so bright.

Andrew suggests that you put the punishment back on him. See what he thinks you should do....

He also says, that after the first warning, if he did it again he would not be allowed in until someone else was home.

(If you want, for a week he can be sent here and forced to sit and to homework....perhaps then he wouldn't take the freedom to be home alone for granted)

Thank you for the option, I will keep it in mind. In the meantime he is grounded for one week to his room and from any tv, music, computer (still) or phone. Last time we left him his music.

I've also told him that if there is a next time, he will be forced to break up with his girlfriend, because if he makes such bad choices he must not be mature enough for a relationship.

Furthermore, I told him that if he doesn't smarten up, I will send him to stay with Gramma Peggy until such time as he sees fit to live under this roof in a respectful manner. That if he won't respect my rules, then I will have Gramma teach him how.

Boys are stupid. Just stupid. Gawd! I totally feel your pain. Love all of Sammy's advice. Especially the not allowed in the house if we can't trust you.

We've had the same problem with Meller. Thinks he is so much smarter. I've already informed him that he is not "going out" with anyone! He is far from mature enough.

I would have thought Logan was smarter than Meller. Maybe the problem is Logan thinks he is too.

The thing is, Logan's big head is the smart one. But he's not using it.

HA HA! I knew I could count on your support!

You should have seen the fear in his eyes. He loves you, but he's a little afraid of you. LOL

So funny.
