Weekend from Hell

Actually, my weekend was incredibly awesome... which as usual means hellish for the living healthy lifestyle.

Saturday was a day of wine and party foods. I did stick to mainly healthy options at the baby shower, but there was this dip... it was creamy and horseradishy and bacony... sooo good. Definately most of my calories that day came from wine, though.

Sunday was party time! Such an awesome wingding. Again with the wine... as well as Captain Bombs. :)

The food there was wicked, and again, I chose mostly healthy options. My steak, a few baby potatoes (although they were buttered and yummy), a few chips (but I forced myself to stay away from them overall), some fruit, a couple of bits of biscotti... hmmm, maybe not so bad, really. Except in the alcohol department. That was atrocious.

Monday was ridiculous. Waking up hammered out of my skull at 8am (what the hell is WRONG that I cannot sleep in???) was not condusive to eating anything at all. Coffee and water and Vitamin B were on the agenda. I don't even remember eating lunch. I'm sure I had something, and it was probably half way healthy, since that's pretty much all we have in the house. I slept the afternoon away. Oh wait! I had chinese for lunch. Not healthy at all. Nevermind.

Dinner was not happening. I was not cooking. My hangover was full blown and I was not moving. Steve ordered salads from Dino's and I had a Shrimp Louie with blue cheese dressing and cheese toast.

This meant I woke up this morning CRAVING nutrition. It was crazy.

I started my day with cottage cheese and ground flax.

Chased with a pear, milk and vitamins.

Lunch was a tuna wrap, which I forgot to take a picture of. :)

Snack was yogurt with granola and craisins (needed to hit the farmers market for more freggies).

After the farmers market, I had the fixins for a yummerific veggiful dinner. I, um, actually ate it before I took a picture, so this is the leftovers. Hee hee.
In there is some bonesless skinless chicken thighs, bean sprouts, yellow pepper, onion, purple onion, mushrooms and garlic. Throw in a bit of low sodium soy sauce, a sprinkle of sesame oil and a sploosh of terriyaki, cover that badboy with some toasted almonds and voila: dinner!

Tomorrow is soccer. Woot! I was wearing my cleats around the house today. Boo that they are too big. I will have to wear a few pairs of socks in them. Let's hope I don't get a blister.

That's about all I got for ya today. Sorry about the radio silence. I was in no shape in some form or another all weekend. Good times!

Meh cleats and runners are diff.. get inserts and wear an extra pair of socks and all should be good (I think anyway... )

What praytell are "Captain Bombs" ? Me is very curious!

Isn't it weird when you're in bad shape you crave junk but as you get fitter and healthier you crave things like carrots? There must be some scientific reasoning behind it (I just don't know it)

"Captain Bombs" are my version of Jaggerbombs. Jagger is too expensive, so I drop a shotglass filled with Captain Morgan Rum into a tumbler of energy drink and chug.
